December 30th

I'm currently having a great time with my new Logitech Wingman Formula Force Steering Wheel. It's great fun! In between all this fun I've managed to find time to add Jochen Tree's latest global roster update to the Downloads section.

I am currently looking for a professional HTML designer who has time on his/her hands to run the FIFA 99 Online Downloads section. If you are interested please contact Matt Holme at downloads@fifa99.net. I repeat, you must be a qualified page designer and preferably speak English as your first language.

As promised, the English Premiership Kit Pack has been added to the Downloads section. If you are from England (btw you were lucky to win the cricket :) then this add-on is for you.

Be here tomorrow for the release of the English Premiership Jersey add-on in the Downloads section.. It'll feature all the real kits for the Premier English teams plus a Division One League.

Jared Medina of Digital Sports has posted an interesting article on FIFA 99. Along with many other issues, he talks about why the MLS license is not included in the game. Check it out here.

December 26th

The Downloads section has once again been updated. Turkish football fans will be happy to know that new Fenerbahce and Galatasaray kits are now available.

The new webmasters for the translated FIFA 99 Online sites are as follows:

Thank you to everyone who has sent in applications for the translation sites. I'll be viewing them shortly and replying to you all. Because of the magnificent response I have decided to ask ANYONE from ANY country who knows how to create a homepage and would like to translate FIFA 99 Online into their native language to contact me.

Expect a large collection of new files in the Downloads section tonight.

December 25th

Attention all budding webmasters! The Italian, Turkish and Spanish FIFA 99 Online sites require new webmasters. If you are a capable web page designer and have the time to translate and maintain one of these sites please email me.

Bad news from EA Sports. Today I was notified by an EA Sports representative that there are NO cheats for the PC version of FIFA 99. I am yet to receive any information on the PSX or N64 cheats. Stay tuned.

New Orange Ball!The Downloads section has been filled with presents for everyone : )
Some new kits, leagues, stadiums and edited graphics can been be found on the Downloads page now.
Check out the screen shot to the right of this text. It shows the new orange ball which is perfect for the snowy conditions.

A FA Premier League Number Patch by Jonathon Morin has been added to the Downloads section. This patch incorporates all new realistically shaped numbers with the FA logo on each. A full description can be found in the Downloads section.

December 23rd

New Stadium!A new review has been added to the Information section.

Three great new edited stadiums have been added to the Downloads section. These are a must have. Giorgio Lunardson has done a magnificent job. Check out a screen shot of one of his new stadiums to the left of this text.

As promised the MS Sidewinder Controls have been added to the Controls section.

TRUE MLS NOW AVAILABLE!
Jochen Tree's latest FIFA 99 Roster Update features the true teams and players from the MLS. It also updates a number of the other leagues with the latest transfers and player ratings. Grab a copy today from the Downloads section.

Two new reviews have been added to the Information section.

December 18th

Fed up with the sometimes unrealistic speed of FIFA 99? If so then make sure you download the new "Globally Altered DBI's Patch" in the Downloads section. This new patch noticeably slows down the gameplay for a more realistic game of football.

December 14th
The Keyboard controls have been posted in the recently opened Controls section. Please feel free to email me the controls for other control devices.
December 17th

A very large collection of new kits and add-ons has been added to the Downloads section.

A new News Archive section has opened. If you are not a regular visitor to FIFA 99 Online, you will still be able to keep up with all the news by visiting the new page.

Click to Enlarge...A great new set of FIFA 99 3Dfx turfs has been added to the Downloads section. If you only download one FIFA 99 add-on then make sure this is it! The very impressive new update allows you to see snow on the ground as it falls (see left screen shot), while sleet can now be seen splashing on the turf as you play (click here for a screen shot).

December 16th
A new FIFA 99 Review has been added to the Information section.

Myself and Daniel will be working hard to upload a number of new and exciting files in the next couple of days. Stay tuned for some exciting new add-ons.

FIFA 99 DEMO RELEASED
You can download the FIFA 99 Demo (13.6 MB) from the Downloads section. The demo a two minute match between Manchester United and Juventus. It is recommended to everyone who does not yet have FIFA 99. The Demo comes in 8 different languages.
December 10th
As promised, the Downloads section has just been filled with New FIFA 99 Downloads. We have 8 new or updated Kits, 2 Roster updates, 3 sets of Ad Boards, a set of edited Turfs, 6 brilliant new or updated Leagues, and a complete Jersey patch.
December 9th
GA Sports have just finished a very well written Review on FIFA 99. It's recommended for those of you who don't have the game yet, but still interesting for those who already purchased it.

About 30 New Downloads will be available tomorrow in the Downloads section. Many thanks go to all of you who are contributing by sending their add-ons or updated files.

Unfortunately for those who don't have the game, the demo has not been released yet. Though I feel that it will be released in a matter of a few days, so please have some more patience and continue to visit this site for the latest news.

Five New Downloads in the Downloads section, including a complete Roster Update by Jochen Tree.
December 5th
A new Malaysian League has been added to the Downloads section.

I (Matt Holme) will be away for the next 7 days. Daniel Vassallo will be maintaining this page while I am absent.

December 4th
Another new review has been added to the Information section.

It turns out the rumors of EA recalling FIFA 99 in the US were not true.

EA have told me that the FIFA 99 demo will be uploaded any day now. Stay tuned to this site.

New Turkish, French and Latin American Leagues plus the new FSH Flash Editor have been added to the Downloads section.
December 2nd
A new review has been added to the Information section.

Four new and updated leagues have been added to the Downloads section.

EA Sports have informed me that the FIFA 99 Demo is being snail mailed to my residence in a couple of days. It may take up to a week to arrive. As soon as I receive the demo I will post it on this site. You have my word.

December 1st
A great FIFA 99 Desktop Theme has been added to the Downloads section.

Prarie from FIFA Modem Thrill (German Modem League) has put together a large FIFA 99 Poll. Check it out here.

The results for the previous poll are as follows:
Is your favourite CLUB included in FIFA 99?
YES: 45% NO: 55%
Is your favourite NATIONAL team included in FIFA 99?
YES: 54% NO: 46%

These results will be sent to EA Sports for use in the development of FIFA 2000.
