February 27th:

>> 7:53 p.m.
Last night Alex completed a huge upload of the Downloads section.

Italian FIFA 99 Online will be opening in a couple of days.

Don't forget, FEd99 will be released here for FREE very soon.

The opening of FIFA 2000 Online has been put back to tomorrow due to some technical problems.

>> 2:30 p.m.
News just in! FEd99 will be released at this site for FREE!

Here is another message from Chau Le:

"Hi everyone,
I've read every messages posted in the Forum in the last 12 hours regarding FEd99, myself and Matt.

Some of you called me a greedy, money hungry person and it's most unfair. In one of my previous messages I said I only agreed to have FEd99 included on the CD because I wanted to help Matt out. I have never been comfortable with the idea that people has to pay for FEd99. Sure, I wasn't too happy with the lack of positive responses I received from FEd98 but I know that charging people money for FEd99 would only worsen the situation.

I have to admit that the decision NOT to release FEd99 at all was made hastily without thinking about all the people who has supported me. And it is these people who has convinced me that I should release FEd99.

So FEd99 will be released for FREE in the next couple of weeks right here at FIFA99 Online. Keep coming back to check its progress.

To the people who posted supporting messages to myself and Matt, a very big thank you from my heart.

To the people who posted insulting messages to myself and Matt, I hope one day you'd change your opinions about us.

This most certainly be my last editor for the FIFA series. It was hard work but I had a lot of fun making it. I'll be passing the baton to Tal and let him cop all the flaks ;>

Cheers,
Chau.

PS. Please don't forget to send me and my wife some postcards. My wife collects them but she hasn't got many ;> The address will be included in FEd99!"

February 26th:

>> 9:12 p.m.
Alex Harris added Botafogo, Esporte Clube Bahia and America de Cali Kits to the Downloads page.

>> 8:42 p.m.
Due to the poor reaction in the Poll and Forum, the FIFA 99 Extras CD will not be released. This means that there will NOT be a FEd99 and it will never be released. I hope the people who whined in the Forum are now happy, you have ruined it for everyone.

Here is a message from Chau Le, the creator of FEd99:

"Hey there eveyone,

I've heard a lot of people who said that FEd99 should be released for free! If anyone can tell me one good reason why it should be so then I'd do it!

Money has never been a motivation for me to make FEd. Actually instead of spending all that time making FEd, I could have made myself up to a cool $20,000 doing some consultancy work for software companies!

I released FEd98 for free because I know most of FIFA players are young and really can't afford to pay for it. All I asked is for people to send me a postcard if they liked the program. I received less than 20 postcards, 6 of them from one person! Obviously to me, people either doesn't like the program or just couldn't be bother about it! I finished

FEd99 around Christmas time and it has been on my HDD and will remain there. I'll share it with my friends who I know will appreciate it!

Chau"
